STARTING OVER

 

A few days ago I turned 37. As a woman I think I crossed that mental line you’re old enough to do some things or you’re missing the train to do others. It’s a little distressing. Sometimes I feel trapped, like the flowers of the Crystal Palace I visited on my birthday, I lack to feel the fresh air, smell the earth, hear the water, ... are things so simple that, Will it be real? Or will it be one of the serious consequences of living for 4 years in a city as chaotic as Madrid? The crisis, whether personal or global, is a good time to change course, and I think the time has come. I just need a compass to know where to go.

SUPER HEROES

I chose Mr. Rino Smile to develop my first cartoons with one of his pranks ... and like his smile gives oneself away, he´s always getting into messes!

ITALIAN FLAVOR

I am really lucky with my boyfriend... he is from Rome, and as good Italian he knows really well the cuisine of his country... We spend our rest day together in our home, then he cooks me these fantastic pasta dishes. I hope he never gets tired ... they are delicious!

VEGAN CUISINE

Yesterday I started my classes about Illustration for Children in Joso Comic School. This is my first drawing, and it´s very suitable for the occasion! Recently I spend a long time in the kitchen, I love cooking everyday more and more!

I´m not vegan but I try to not use excess animal protein. I use to do bechamel (white sauce) with soya or oats milk, organic flour and virgin olive oil. Right and healthy! So my old recipe like "Filled Eggplant" only has some organic Parmesan cheese (I buy it in Carrefour shopping centre for only 3,50 €/200gr.) ... Unfortunately I really love all kind of cheese.

Today I had mushrooms filled pasta for lunch: I added mushrooms, garlic and basil to the sauce, and I changed the cheese for sesame seeds. It tasted delicious! I had organic bread with black poppy seeds, that I bought in a great bakery in Gràcia´s neighborhood, so I couldn´t stop dipping in it! Mmm.

BEST FOOT FORWARD

I had a delicious breakfast thanks to Jose Luís and his kaki tree [persimmon] The fruit is similar to sweet jam, and together with the organic goat cheese that I bought yesterday, I think it is a perfect combination for this autumn fruit.

AUTUMN HAS COME

The time has come to autumn ... And the sun light has changed. I really love this season, the colors, the flavors, ... the mushroom will be soon on our dishes! And the chestnuts, hazelnuts... What lots of good things give us our forests!  

I started to knit a scarf type Buff so I hope to finish before Christmas!













Ironically I had Spring Rolls for dinner tonight... Simple and delicious to cooking!

I´ve discovered the Delphine and Sara´s works during the workshop about illustrated book arranged by Iratxe and Betania. I´m feeling so identified with Fanelli! Thanks to them for showed me so delicious works. They´re the example creativity, originality. Super!

AU REVOIR SUMMER

 

This summer my artwork was in chaos... I spent too much time working as a waiter! There are bad times in Spain. Thanks to my van I was hidden some days along the coast, where I was contemplating the Med everyday. I really love the beach. I can´t live far from the sea.

SUMMER DRINK

Every Saturday night I work in a pub in Barcelona. We make a million of mojitos, caipirinhas, ... My friend Stephan asked me for the mojito´s recipe... I hope he enjoys it next Sunday!

CHAROLÍN & MEDIASUELA

Yesterday it was Yoli's birthday, and I did this drawing for her. When we were younger we wanted to form a music band called "Charolín and Mediasuela", the title of a tale that spanish children read in the first year in the primary school. Now we joke fondly about it. She always will be Charolín.

NEARLY NATURE

I just rent a small area in my home´s wall to my new tenant! I really love removable objects {handy-original-entertaining} ... to enjoy with more ideas on paper!
